Registrations for the beginner course have closed. To be put on the list for people to alert the next time we run a course, send us an email.
We offer courses aimed at beginners as part of ANU Sport’s Lifestyle Program, which provides short courses that introduce participants to new interests and activities.
We hold beginner courses at the start of each semester. The beginner course is delivered by a level 1 accredited coach. Participation is capped at 30 participants across two sessions.
Non-students are not required to join ANU Sport to participate in the Lifestyle Program, but ongoing club membership does require it. If you're not able to become a member of ANU Sport and you decide that fencing is, in fact, the sport for you, come and talk to us about your options.
Note: Beginner course participants must be over 16 years old. If you're younger than this and you're really interested in learning to fence, send us an email — we can help put you in touch with potential coaches.
