The Australian National University Fencing Club is the longest-running fencing club in the ACT. The club caters to a wide range of experience levels, and our active members include both beginner and intermediate fencers, national and international level athletes. We regularly compete in ACT competitions as well as at a regional, state and national level competitions. ANUFC is part of ANU Sport's Excellence in Sport Program.
We also run beginner courses with qualified fencing coaches to introduce people to the world of fencing.
The club trains three times a week at the ANU Sports Hall, which is Building 19 on the ANU campus. Free parking is available at the venue.
Sporting clubs such as ours play a significant role in the community and have a responsibility to our members and their families. We have chosen to join over 7000 clubs across Australia taking part in the Good Sports program. Through Good Sports we are committed to managing alcohol responsibly and ensuring smoke free areas, which we believe will help us to provide a healthy, safe and family friendly environment. Together, we are helping inspire a healthier sporting nation.
