Membership

You can join the ANU Fencing Club as an ANU Student, or a member of the public

To become a member of the club, you must join up and pay via the ANU Sport website.

Please note that regular membership is for fencers with experience (to be assessed case-by-case). If you have no prior fencing experience, you will need to complete a beginner course. The Club runs its beginner courses twice a year, beginning the week after orientation each semester.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old to join the club, and must abide by the Code of Conduct. All memberships start on 1 January 2026 and expire 11.59pm 31st December 2026.

Membership Eligibility and Categories

In line with ANU Sport requirements, there are two main categories of membership:

ANU Student:

• all persons enrolled at the ANU University as a student. [You will need to provide your student number, which will be checked with ANU before your membership is considered valid]

Associate:

• Anybody else over the age of 16

Membership Prices

All members need to also be a member of ANU Sport. You can join at the same time as joining the Fencing Club. For ANU students this costs nothing extra. If you are a member of multiple ANU Sport clubs you only need to join ANU Sport once.

• ANU Student: $170

• Associate: $190
